This guided tour explores some representative spaces of the food supply of the city of Barcelona in which women resellers were the main protagonists. From Plaça del Pi (the institutional center of the Guild of Shopkeepers and Resellers, which had master women between 1624 and 1768), we will cross the Gothic Quarter. We will pass by the Santa Caterina market (1848, built on the convent burned in the popular revolt of 1835 and remodeled by Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue, 2005), and by plaça del Born (where there was the most important open-air market of the medieval and modern times). We will end in the Born, the first iron-structured market (1876), today a cultural and archaeological center.
